Nuttin' But Stringz |
|
Background
Nuttin But Stringz, a musical duo, was launched into
the spotlight after a tremendous showing at the world
famous Apollo Theater. National television shows like
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Ellen with Ellen
DeGeneres were clamoring for them to appear. Soon they
were making appearances all over the TV and were touring
with Yolanda Adams, a Grammy award winning gospel performer.
Despite all of the exposure and success, NBS was still
not able to break through and get that elusive record
contract.

Solution
NBS approached EZ Marketing Group to manage their website
and online message boards. Seeing all the emails and
complaints from fans who had ordered the single but
had slipped through the cracks, EZ Marketing Group created
an online interface so fans could buy a music download
of their single. This allowed them to maintain a revenue
stream, fulfill their fans requests, and capture electronic
data from each sale, something that wasn’t possible
selling CDs from the trunk of their car.

Result
In addition to the music download, EZ Marketing Group
created a marketing plan for NBS that the group’s manager
presented to targeted record labels. Armed with this
document, which outlined their accomplishments as well
as strategies for promoting the group, NBS management
was able to secure a distribution deal with Koch Records,
the largest independent record label in North America.
The Nuttin’ But Stringz album “Struggle From the Subway
to the Charts” was released on October 3, 2006 and is
available at all major retailers.
